[Deadline: 2025/09/14] This program targets young Japanese and German experts in natural sciences from public research institutions and private companies with an interest in German-Japanese research cooperation. Tailor-made visits to thematically suitable research / university institutes and companies in the other country will give the opportunity to establish contacts with a potential for future research cooperation. The overarching theme for 2025 is “Battery Research for Carbon Neutrality.”

[Deadline: 2025/09/03, 17:00 JST] Bilateral cooperative programs aim to form sustained networks of bilateral research teams (etc.) evolved from individual scientist exchanges. JSPS provides financial support to excellent Japanese scientists, including young scientists, implementing such bilateral joint research projects and seminars with research teams from counterpart countries. The FY2026 application call is currently open for submissions.
