This call aims to support collaborative research between teams in Japan and Europe, addressing key scientific and technological challenges in the development of AI-powered robotics. The focus is on adaptive, autonomous, and intelligent systems capable of operating in dynamic, unstructured, and human-centered real-world environments. Ultimately, the call seeks to deliver tangible solutions to pressing societal challenges.

Estonia: Estonian Research Council (ETAG)
Germany : Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMBFTR) and DLR PT
Hungary: National Research, Development and Innovation Office (NKFIH)
Italy: National Research Council (CNR)
Japan: Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST)
Poland: National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR)
Slovakia: Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAS)
Spain: Agencia Estatal de Investigación (AEI)
Türkiye: The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBITAK)
Note: The list is tentative and additional organizations may join before the call is launched.
How should project consortia be composed?
Each project consortium submitting an application should consist of at least 3 eligible beneficiaries (project partners), including at least 1 from Japan and at least 2 from two different European countries participating in the Joint Call.
In order to facilitate the process of forming research consortia, EIG Concert-Japan offers applicants a Partner Search Tool. This tool can be used by project consortia looking for additional partners and researchers looking for project consortia to join.
