[Deadline: 2021/06/30 at 23:59 GMT+2] The Research, Training and Mobility Programme – IFMIF-DONES is accepting applications for 13 positions (also in Germany and Japan) aimed at university graduates and doctoral degree holders to carry out a research, training and mobility programme at international research centres and laboratories related to the IFMIF-DONES project.

The positions include vacancies at QST Rokkasho Fusion Institute, Japan, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany, and the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA, Brasimone / Frascati).

The International Fusion Materials Irradiation Facility, also known as IFMIF, is a projected materials test facility in which candidate materials for the use in an energy producing fusion reactor can be fully qualified. DONES (DEMO-Oriented Neutron Source) is a scaled-down version of IFMIF at the European level to characterize structural materials. It is coordinated by EUROfusion.
