Prof. Dr. Heike Paul, Friedrich-Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg was honored with The Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) in 2018.

She is invited to the DFG Leibniz Lecture, which is regularly organised by the DFG Office Japan to introduce Leibniz awardees.

Prof. Dr. Paul is one of the most renowned representatives of American Studies, including north American literature and cultural theory. She will give a lecture about “Dissociation/Nation: Narratives of Ruin and Repair in Contemporary American Culture“.

The German Centre for Research and Innovation Tokyo supports this lecture.
