On the occasion of the 160th anniversary of Japanese-German relations, the Japan Cultural Institute in Cologne, in cooperation with the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and the University of Cologne, is organising a lecture series with 14 lectures on current topics of German-Japanese academic cooperation.

Recording: Pending the permission of the speakers, the lecture part of the events will be made available via the YouTube of the Japan Cultural Institute in Cologne for a limited time.

In the lecture series, researchers from various fields working with Japanese partners at the two universities will discuss various issues facing society today while shining a light on joint research between Germany and Japan. Some of the Japanese collaborators will also be able to join despite the time difference.
