– How to become effective science communicators
– How to change a career path – from academia to industry – to realise one’s potential

The DAAD Regional Office Tokyo will host the onsite part of the programme at the German Cultural Centre in Akasaka, Tokyo. Thanks to the financial support of the German Federal Foreign Office, online livestreams will be available for most of the sessions.

The event coincides with an exhibition by the German photographer Herlinde Koelbl entitled “Fascination of Science” (17-23 October 2022) that is organized by the DWIH Tokyo and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Natur- und Völkerkunde Ostasiens (OAG). The exhibition features portraits of some of the most renowned scientists and Nobel Prize winners from all around as the world, as well as of promising young researchers. The panel discussion on “Diversity in Science” is part of the exhibition programme and participants of the European Research Days are welcome to join (separate registration necessary).
