On Sunday, November 2, 2025, the Heidelberg University Office Kyoto (HUOK) and the DFG Tokyo are jointly organizing a lecture to mark the HUOK’s 10th anniversary, combining the “Leibniz Lecture” and “Heidelberg Lecture” series.
The Heidelberg Lectures welcome outstanding researchers from Heidelberg University to Japan, and we are particularly pleased that this time we are hosting a scientist who has also been awarded the DFG’s Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize.
At this event, in cooperation with the DFG Tokyo, Prof. Pernice, experimental physicist at the Kirchhoff Institute for Physics at Heidelberg University and Leibniz Prize laureate 2025, will give a lecture entitled “Photonics for Artificial Intelligence and Neuromorphic Computing.”
