DWIH Tokyo Symposium – Sustainable Consumption and Production (December 1-2)

[Deadline: 2025/11/3] The German Centre for Research and Innovation Tokyo (DWIH Tokyo) invites researchers, professionals, and innovators from Germany, Japan, and around the world to present their work at the upcoming DWIH Symposium: Sustainable Consumption and Production, taking place on December 1-2. The poster session will provide a dynamic platform to showcase pioneering research, pilot initiatives, and innovative approaches that address current challenges and propose forward-thinking solutions in the field of sustainable consumption and production. Our event focuses on sustainable consumption and production, covering a wide range of topics such as sustainable food and packaging, bioplastics, sustainable agriculture, the circular economy (including reuse, recycling, and repair), sustainable supply chains, food waste reduction, and government regulations.

We warmly welcome contributions from academia, industry, the public sector, and civil society that focus on innovative solutions and collaborative strategies in areas such as sustainable consumption, sustainable production, packaging, circular economy, consumer behavior, resource efficiency, sustainability policy innovations, and more.
Submission Guidelines
This call is open to all participants attending the symposium in Tokyo. Please submit your expression of interest along with a short abstract (maximum 150 words) in English, outlining the topic, methodology, and main findings, by November 3, 2025, via submission platform: https://www.daad.de/surveys/275828?lang=en
All submissions will be reviewed by the DWIH Tokyo Symposium Committee, and selected presenters will be notified in due course.
Please note that the deadline applies only to the abstract; the full poster can be prepared and submitted closer to the symposium.
Kindly note that, unfortunately, the organizers are unable to cover travel or accommodation costs.
